James River Reeling and Rafting

Bring your friends and family for a day of fun on the river. Fun for all ages and experience levels! We offer equipment rentals 7 days a week in season from April to October. Our trips are appropriate for ages 6 and up and all experience levels. Trips are self-guided (this means you and yours and other renters, no guides) and include shuttle service to our drop point (most trips end back in Scottsville where you park). You also enjoy full use of our facilities, including private changing area with hot showers and free, secure parking. Reservations highly recommended!


James River Runners

James River Runners offers a variety of outdoor activities for groups of all sizes - Tubing: There’s nothing more relaxing than floating down the James on a warm summer day for couples, families and even large groups; Canoeing, Kayaking and Rafting: Few summer activities  are more enjoyable than jumping in a canoe, kayak or raft with a friend for a perfect day on the river; Fishing: Some of the best small mouth bass fishing in the nation is right here; Camping: Keep the summer fun going at our premier campgrounds.


Meadowcreek Golf

Meadowcreek Golf Course is a cut above most other municipal golf courses, playing to par 70 over 6,050 yards. It can be toughened considerably by tournament pin placements on the unusually large greens. Sporting greens of Penncross bentgrass and Bermuda fairways, this beautiful tract is surrounded by panoramic views of central Albemarle County. Meadowcreek Golf Course is adorned with large, stately oak trees and flowering Dogwood and Cherry trees.
