The Essentials of Cheesemaking - May 12, Saturday
Caromont Farm.
This hands-on class covers the steps involved in beginner cheesemaking. Owner and cheesemaker of Caromont Farm Gail Hobbs-Page covers milk chemistry, acid development and documentation, culturing, and curd formation among others. Students will learn how to make a few simple, farmhhouse cheeses. Afterwards, enjoy a shared cheese and a discussion of the cheeses made that day. Limit 10.
